ISLAMABAD: Residents of G-14/2-3 have protested against the non-payment of compensation despite the passage of more than six months after the completion of a survey.
The development work in the sector is stalled due to failure of the concerned authorities in making payment of the compensation which has sparked grave concern among the allottees.
The Federal Minister for housing and construction Makhdoom Fasil Saleh Hayat constituted a committee headed by Sikandar Hayat Maken to complete lists of G-14 affectees but the committee failed to do so. The residents are waiting for the payments of compensation of their houses for last six months.
