A court in Germany has ruled in favour of Motorola Mobility in a patent dispute with Apple.
Motorola Mobility, the Android smartphone maker acquired by Google in August for $12.5 billion (£7.7bn), had accused Apple of infringing its patented wireless technology in its iPhones and 3G iPads.
The court in Manheim, Germany today found in Motorola's favour, and granted requests for an injunction and damages.
The company could now demand that Apple remove the features from its products in Germany, or halt sales entirely.
As usual, Apple has not commentated on the ruling, but it is widely expected that the US firm will appeal the decision. Read more
