ISLAMABAD: Lack of renovation of dilapidated bridge of G/7-2 has added to the miseries of the residents of the area.
The bridge was damaged in the rainy season during the month of August last year due to torrential rains but no action has been taken towards its renovation and reconstruction despite the fact it is located at the distance of a few furlong from CDA Head Office. The residents of the area have abandoned to use this bridge for fear of any untoward incident being the bridge near to collapse.
Residents of the area including pattern in chief of welfare committee and Khatib Jamia Masjid appealed to the chairman CDA to take immediate measures for renovation of this bridge as it may cause loss to lives if repair work is not done at war footing.
