Foreign Minister, Indian HC discuss bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: High Commissioner for India Sharat Sabharwal paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Tuesday and discussed issues related to bilateral relations. The Foreign Minister recalled her meeting with India’s Minister for External Affairs S.M. Krishna in the Maldives on the sidelines of the SAARC Summit in November 2011, where both sides had reviewed the progress made in the resumed dialogue process. The Foreign Minister stated that 2011 had been a positive year for Pakistan-India bilateral relations. She expressed the hope that this trend would continue in the next year to the mutual benefit of the two countries, as well as towards promoting the agenda of development and prosperity in the region. High Commissioner Sabharwal expressed appreciation for the Foreign Minister’s efforts and commitment to the dialogue process.(APP)
