Linda Vu was born in 1973 in what was once called Saigon, Vietnam. Linda and her family were forced to flee their home when the Communist took over during the infamous “Fall of Saigon”.
Although the Vu family escaped Communist rule, they were broken up for several years. Linda and her siblings lived in a refugee camp in Singapore and it wasn’t until 1981 when they were able to reunite in Orange County, California. Although it took some time, in 1994 Linda was thrilled and proud to finally become a U.S. citizen.
Ms. Vu started her career in the aerospace field at the age of 23 and continued on for seven years. Shortly thereafter, she began and now works as an Artist, Photographer, Web/Graphic Designer, Fitness Trainer, Model and Actress.
Linda had always used her artwork as an escape. Today, she makes a living traveling the globe using her artwork to capture some of the world's most exotic and tropical destinations which she feels compelled to paint. Her artworks are from the many interesting and beautiful sceneries that she has encountered. Ms. Vu prefers working with acrylic on canvas using bold and vibrant colors. Linda's love of art natually lead her interest into photography and graphic design.
When Linda isn't "painting the world", she works along side with her husband as producer of DON BARNHART ENTERTAINMENT (DBE) which specializes in independent film, television production and comedy booking/consulting agency. You can check out their first indie feature filmCHINA DOLLS which she produced and starred in.
And if that isn’t enough to keep Linda busy, she’s also a Certified Fitness Trainer/Coach for women. She’s very passionate about being healthy, fit and committed to helping women reach their personal fitness goals. She's just released her motivational fitness CD ENERGY HOUR and prepping to shoot her new ab work out DVD POWER ABS. She's also finishing up her new fitness book FIT, FEMININE & FABULOUS.
Currently, Linda makes her home in Las Vegas, NV with her husband and two cats. In her free time she enjoys working out, swimming, target shooting, motorcycling and hanging out at the beach.
